Vision and Strategy
SpaceIL strives to serve as a source of inspiration for Israel’s future generation, in order to encourage teenagers to think in the direction of science, engineering and entrepreneurship. Moreover, our goal is to introduce the younger generation to the exciting opportunities that arise from the courage to dream and the determination to make that dream a reality. SpaceIL has adhered to a proactive educational and learning approach in the field with an emphasis on activity. We consider education to be a supreme value and promote diverse channels in this field.
The organization works to spread the story of Beresheet, to encourage scientific intrepidness and taking steps to make dreams a reality. Thanks to our reserve of dedicated volunteer, the story of SpaceIL and the Beresheet spacecraft has reached tens of thousands of classrooms and over one million pupils.

Moreover, the organization takes part in seminars and teacher training programs to make connections within the teachers’ community, to learn its needs, to become enriched by its experience and to provide knowledge and tools that will make the teachers’ work easier when raising a new generation of entrepreneurs.
The organization produces materials for pupils, parents and teachers in order to encourage the younger generation to take an interest, to learn and overcome challenges on their way to achieving the goal.
Thanks to the wealth of knowledge and experience of its creative partners, the Organization receives many opportunities to take part in and contribute to the educational activity: including game-based learning, enrichment for teaching tools, educational workshops, extra-curricular scientific activities, material for preschool, etc.
We believe in dreaming big, taking big steps and sticking to the goal all the way to the moon and beyond!
Lectures
SpaceIL’s educational vision is to create a new Israeli Apollo Effect: To encourage Israel’s next generation to choose to study science, engineering, technology and mathematics.
The SpaceIL lecture is given by one of our volunteer lecturers and tells the story of the organization’s establishment and goal, as well as two main emphases:
The first emphasis is to convey information regarding the SpaceIL’s ‘mission’ (the first and second) – and about the spacecraft, space and the importance of the mission on a scientific and international/Israeli level.
The second emphasis stems from the Organization’s philosophy and is designed to inspire the children to choose to investigate and study the fields of science and technology by conveying a message of excellence, entrepreneurship and innovation that asserts that, with the help of knowledge, tools and intrepidness, anyone can breakthrough new barriers and the sky is not the limit.
Educational Activity
We develop activities designed to introduce the pupils and public at large to the groundbreaking Israeli journey to the moon. Moreover, we are dedicated to levering our and our partners’ educational and operational infrastructure for in-depth values-based scientific activity. The organization’s programs are designed to uncover interesting in-depth questions, as well as tools for assisting the research activity and coping with the challenges along the journey. We strive to introduce the magic of science and technology to as many members of the public at large as possible, in order to encourage the younger generation to choose a future in activity that promotes innovative developments and far-reaching discoveries. The SpaceIL team makes a concerted effort to reach all those who are interested; and thanks to the inspirational story of the Beresheet spacecraft, they can sew the seeds for dreaming and making dreams into reality among Israel’s children. We would be delighted to run an activity for you!

As part of SpaceIL’s activity to introduce the Organization, its team will make concerted efforts to reach all those who are interested, in order to introduce them to the inspirational story behind the first Israeli spacecraft that landed on the moon and to promote science education in Israel.

Volunteer Activity in the Field of Education and Marketing
The SpaceIL Organization works to leverage the unprecedented achievement in the field of space and Israeli entrepreneurship and to continue to inspire Israeli children to become the next generation of dreamers and entrepreneurs.
The educational activity would not have been possible without the enormous contribution of the Organization’s team of volunteers. Our volunteers visit schools across the country, giving lectures about the story of Israel’s first spacecraft.
They have reached a million Israeli pupils and awakened their scientific curiosity, sparked their imagination and dreams and provided professional and reliable knowledge about the organization’s scientific mission.
Additionally, our team of volunteers also lectures before an adult population at various events and represents us at conferences.
In short – They are SpaceIL’s ambassadors with the public at large!
Activities
Pursuant to the organization’s educational vision, we are interested in creating long-term partnerships that will enable us to expand the resources that we invest and to leverage the educational infrastructure in order to reach every pupil in the State of Israel. We are developing diverse programs in order to introduce the pupils to the inspirational process through Israel’s journey to the moon. Our goal is to inspire children and teenagers to become scientists and engineers.
