Shir Oz Sabag
Volunteers and Community Relations Manager
Shir joined the educational team with her belief in the power of volunteers and their genuine commitment to the advancement of processes in an organization. She believes that one can be involved in education through success stories and we can learn from the challenges that surround us. Her goal is to provide the children with an ability to freely choose their futures, with the story of Beresheet serving as inspiration.
Shir brings with her vast experience working with senior citizens, including management of educational projects and volunteers, her diverse background in training and advancing professional processes in the field.
Shir has a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Education from Ben Gurion University of the Negev; and in her previous positions, she managed a social club for the deaf and hearing impaired and served as a coordinator at a virtual high school at the Center for Educational Technology.

Brigadier General (Res.) Shimon Sarid
CEO
Shimon recently joined SpaceIL, in order to lead the Beresheet 2 Project. He served in the Israel Air Force for 28 years in development, engineering, management and command positions. Between 2000-2003, he served as the Head of Materiel Command, responsible for the IAF’s entire technical system. In 2005, he joined Elbit Systems as CEO of its subsidiary – Silver Arrow; and for 15 years, he was engaged in the development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, including the Hermes 900 system that has been greatly successful in Israel and worldwide. Shimon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautical engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in management sciences from Boston University and Ben Gurion University of the Negev. He was awarded the Israel Security Prize for 1998 for his personal contribution to the development of a groundbreaking system in this field.

Kfir Damari

Kfir is an Israeli entrepreneur, engineer, researcher, lecturer and communications and information security expert. Kfir began his study of software back in elementary school; and at age 11, he had already written his first computer virus. Kfir served as an officer in an elite technology unit in the IDF Intelligence Corps specializing in the field of cyber. He earned a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Communication Systems Engineering from Ben Gurion University. Damari is also the founder of the TAbookey and Metapacket information security companies. Before establishing SpaceIL, Kfir managed several research and development groups at various companies and as a lecturer at Ben Gurion and Tel Aviv Universities and at the Academic Management College.

Oren Alkaslasy

Lieutenant Colonel (Res.) Oren Alkaslasy joined SpaceIL following 18 years of service in the Israel Air Force. During this period, he accrued vast experience in managing the budgets of complex systems on an extensive scale, transaction realization using advanced contractual methods and outsourcing of finance divisions.
Oren was a co-founder of Plus sa. Ltd. – a company engaged in financial management and business development. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in economics and management and an MBA in business administration from Ben Gurion University of the Negev.
